Shorkie Puppies are amazing hypoallergenic little dogs. Although no dog is 100% hypoallergenic they are about as close as you can get. We have never had a case where a Shorkie caused a family to react . Shorkies are also non shedding which is great. Often people dont know that the Shih Tzu and Yorkie are both non shedding dogs.  So for all you allergy sufferers the Shorkie may be your answer to finally owning the puppy of your dreams. What we always suggest is you find and Shih Tzu or a Yorkie to visit with to see how that goes first and if you have no reactions then the Shorkie is sure to be a good fit . We have great references that you can speak with personally that have our shorkies that suffer from allergies. We also wanted to give you a heads up about their coat for the winter time. Yes these guys have amazing thick teddy bear coats but if you are in a cold state please remember to bundle your Shorkie up. They are small dogs that need a little extra insulation in the cold weather. A little sweater or jacket will do just fine. BUT do remember just because these little fur ball already have a coat does not mean they can keep warm outside in the cold.
