All Potential Shorkie Owners Will be interviewed!

we take Shorkie owner ship very serious and we want all our Shorkie potential puppy parents to REALLY think about the commitment it takes to adopt a Shorkie.

I will always provide my Shorkie with adequate, food, shelter, fresh water and exercise.

I will equip my Shorkie for life by providing it with good socialization, training and manners.

I will ensure my Shorkie receives adequate veterinary attention.

I will take full responsibility for all of the actions of my Shorkie.

I will not allow my Shorkie to roam freely except in designated off leash areas.

I will provide adequate fencing and containment systems to suit my the needs of my Shorkie.

I will not allow my Shorkie to cause a problem to or lessen the quality of life for any person in the community by barking, destroying property, threatening or mauling humans or other animals.

I will take responsibility for any mess or excrement caused by my Shorkie in both private and public places.

I will lead by example and advocate responsible Shorkie ownership within the community.

I will contact my Shorkie breeder immediately if I have any concerns about my Shorkie

I will contact my breeder immediately if for any reason I cannot keep my Shorkie (no matter what age) and allow my breeder to assist in re-homing my Shorkie or give the option to my breeder to take my shorkie back to live with them

I will refrain from any action which will place the Shorkie Club Of America in disrepute.
